The senior citizens deserve proper care, better health facilities and peaceful environment at home and in the society at large.

Heritage India aims to have a meaningful discussion on how to utilize energy and experience of senior citizens for socio-cultural development of the country, and for creating awareness among the people that elder citizens are not a drain on the society, rather they are an inseparable link between the past and the present generation.

Ageing is a natural phenomenon and universal in character. Many countries like India have been emphasizing the need for looking after the aged, and steps have been taken by the government and voluntary agencies to provide Old age Homes and special facilities for senior citizens in various fields, yet much requires to be done, not in the form of concessions or favours, but as an onerous duty of the society and the state to make the elderly people feel that they are an integral part of the society.
